"Converging Consciousness — A Plant and Human Co-Creation” will be performed on Saturday, October 14, at The Southern Theater on the U of M’s West Bank beginning at 7:30 p.m. This all-female collaboration, launched by composer Catherine Dalton, will feature the poetry of Dakota Anishinaabe storyteller and medicine woman Tanaǧidaŋ To Wiŋ, improvisational songs of the plants performed by Regina “Gigi” Stroncek, and botanical watercolor paintings by Dana Boyle (ASBA GRC member). The beautiful "plant relatives" that form the rest of the living collaboration of reverence and love are Common Milkweed, Black Elderberry, Prairie Rose, Stinging Nettle and Stiff Goldenrod.
