CONNIE SCANLON

Connie Scanlon became interested in botanical art as a volunteer docent at the Minneapolis Institute of Art where she discovered the work of Maria Sibyl Merian. Scanlon's critical skills of observation as a prior cardiac intensive care nurse are invaluable in her creation of contemporary botanical art. Her work has been included in the 2013 Royal Horticultural Society Exhibition, the Hunt Institute's 15th International Exhibition for Botanical Documentation, and in many of the ASBA Annual International Juried Exhibitions.

She lives and paints in St. Paul, Minnesota.
