KATHE WILCOXON

Kathe Wilcoxon is a Minneapolis-based artist and designer. She paints from life and on location. Kathe attended Macalester College and the University of Minnesota and has a BA in Studio Art. She also studied painting at Split Rock Arts, Lunenburg Seaside Craft School in Nova Scotia, New York Botanical Garden, and the Minnesota School of Botanical Art. She has worked as a professional designer and art director in Minneapolis, Chicago and Toronto. She left full-time design work in 2015, the same year she took her first class in botanical art.

 

Her paintings have been exhibited at Filoli, Woodside CA; Rochester Contemporary Art Center, Rochester NY; The American Swedish Institute, Minneapolis MN; Hopkins Center for the Arts, Hopkins MN; Annual Inspired by Nature exhibits and the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum. Her work is part of the Eloise Butler Wildflower Florilegium and the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum Flora and Fauna Illustrata.
