NANCY GEHRIG

Nancy Gehrig grew up in a small Wisconsin town, exploring the surrounding woods, ponds and fields.  She loved drawing from early on, which led to a degree in Fine Arts.  Her career started in medical illustration and graphic design.   Living on a small hobby farm developed her passion for botany and the natural world.   Her work has been shown with the Royal Horticultural Society in London, at the NY Botanical Garden, at the American Society of Botanical Artists and Horticultural Society International Exhibit in NYC, “Focus on Nature XV”, Phoenix Art Museum, Filoli, Raleigh, Philadelphia, Oro Valley and regionally in Minnesota, Michigan and Wisconsin.  She has taught colored pencil and graphite drawing at the MN School of Botanical Art in Minneapolis.  Nancy has also taught Colored Pencil at the MN Landscape Arboretum and at other Art Centers in the region.
