Catherine Tong is an art educator and botanical artist living in Northeast Minneapolis. Her love for the outdoors and subsequent desire to share it with others through art began at a young age and has grown over the years. Her desire is to display the simple beauties found in the natural world in a scientifically accurate and inviting way. As a K-12 art educator, Catherine emphasizes a strong understanding of observational drawing skills. She seeks to give her students the tools and experiences they need to tell their stories, explore their world, and serve others through the arts. Catherine works primarily in watercolor, colored pencil, and graphite.
